SANTIAGO.- The Ninth Court of Appeals of Santiago has approved several property seizures from individuals and corporations involved in the so-called “Inverlink case” for violation of the Market Value Law.
The high court, comprised of Ministers Juan Escobar, Jorge Dahm and Attorney Angel Cruchaga, ruled unanimously to authorize the seizure of funds of up to $1 billion pesos from the company CB Corredores de Bolsa S.A., as well as an identical amount from Sergio Contreras and the corporation, Cia Corredores de Bolsa S.A.
The court will also seize $500 million pesos from John Albert Allen Guzmán, Jorge Francisco Hayden Martorell, Luis Osorio Bujalil, José Miguel Sangroniz Carmaggi and Renzo Zamboni Contreras – all of whom were charged with investment fraud on April 2nd, 2006 at the Santiago Court of...
